Even some guys who are otherwise out of the closet have copped to lying to donate blood as a political statement. “Like jury duty, donating blood is something I consider my civic duty,” a gay blood donor wrote on Queerty in 2009. “And because I’m committed to donating blood, I regularly lie to the Red Cross about my sexuality.” The donor declined to include a byline. Back in 2002, Canadian blood donor Kyle Freemanwrote an anonymous email to Canadian Blood Services informing the agency that he had donated blood 18 times despite the country’s lifetime ban on donations from men who have had sex with men. “I am a gay man and have been involved in a long-term committed relationship,” he wrote. “Both my partner and myself [have] been tested for the HIV virus and are both negative and intend to stay that way. We are both very honest people and are both blood donors.” Canadian Blood Services didn’t see it that way: It tracked Freeman’s IP address, outed him, and sued him for $100,000 for lying on his blood screening questionnaire.

Even though he’s seconds away from hellfire, Sam’s still reassuring Dean. Something like that goes beyond ‘love’. It’s not just love anymore, it’s a violent obsession that leaves you with nothing but pain and Sam is willing to endure it. He’s willing to withstand every single testament in the world for the sake of his brother. That’s just who he is, it’s what he’s become after years of co-dependency that bordered on strangulation. Dean’s always been the one who scarified for him. Now, it’s finally Sam’s turn, and even though it’s gonna be one hell of a bumpy ride, he knows that somehow, someway, his brother is surviving. And in the end, that alone will make the centuries of hellfire worthwhile.

Well, I’ll be using a night light tonight.
As much as I hate to say it - I agree with this secret. Had Tumblr been my first experience with SPN fandom, I’d have run away screaming. Mostly I just enjoy the nice graphics people make. Were I to get back into fandom, I’d go to DW.
I think this post has been long in coming. I tell bits of it at a time, but instead of recounting it over and over again to people wanting to know, I will probably just use this to reference them to it so they will know without me having to recall every detail.
So, this started when I was around twenty years old. I had just lost a job at a bakery and really needed to get a job quickly so I could continue to pay for my college education without getting loans. I applied for Wal-Mart and got a pretty quick call back. I went in for the interview a week after applying.
The manager who interviewed me — we’ll call him Matt — seemed to really take to me. I assumed it was because of my natural charm, charisma and intelligence. I was to be quickly disillusioned the rest of my natural life, but particularly in this case.
